Hello,
I have an issue to synchronize the network clock of my ISR 4321 with my operator.
Here is the configuration in place:
controller E1 0/1/0
framing no-crc4
clock source line primary
pri-group timeslots 1-31
!
network-clock synchronization automatic
network-clock input-source 1 controller E1 0/1/0
The result of the show network-clock command:
There are no network clock sources configured
Active source = UNAVAILABLE
All Network Clock Configuration
---------------------------------
Priority Clock Source State Reason
Current operating mode is Revertive
Current OOR Switchover mode is Switchover
There are no slots disabled from participating in network clocking
Is there a command missing?
Thanks for your help.
Thomas.

29th Path code violations --- looks to be framing issue between you and service provider.
Please check with your service provide as framing issue can affect the clock syncronization.

These two commands is configured on my set up and works good.
network-clock-select 1 {E1|T1} 0/1/0 -it will select which priority interface will be used for taking clock.
clock source line - take the clock from the service the service prvoider.

Hello,
Thanks you for your reply but these commands are not present on Cisco ISR 4321.

ah for 4300 series commands have changed a little.
The commands which you have applied are correct and you can also include below to synchronize individual channels.
network-clock synchronization participate slot / subslot
Below samples config
card type t1 0 2
card type t1 0 3
!
isdn switch-type primary-5ess
!
network-clock synchronization automatic >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
network-clock synchronization participate 0/2>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
!
voice-card 0/2
dsp services dspfarm
no watchdog
!
controller T1 0/2/0
framing esf
linecode b8zs
clock source line primary
network-clock input-source 1 controller t1 0/2/0>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
cablelength long 0db
pri-group timeslots 1-24 voice-dsp

Hello,
When I enter your command, I have the following:
Router(config)#network-clock synchronization participate 0/1
Slot 0 subslot 1 is already enabled for network clocking. Command Aborted.

Try " clock source network" first and see if it works.
Also try below inside the controller interface. Thanks
network-clock input-source 1 controller t1 0/1/0

The router doesn't accept the commands:
Router(config)#clock source network ?
% Unrecognized command
Router(config)#controller E1 0/1/0
Router(config-controller)#?
Controller configuration commands:
ais-shut Send LAIS when shutdown
bert Start BERT test
channel-group Specify the timeslots to channel-group mapping for an interface
clock Specify the clock source for a DS1 link
default Set a command to its defaults
description Controller specific description
ds0-group Configure group of timeslots to a particular signaling type
exit Exit from controller configuration mode
framing Specify the type of Framing on a E1 link
help Description of the interactive help system
line-termination Specify the line termination for E1
linecode Specify the line encoding method for a E1 link
logging-events LOG E1 Events
loopback Put the entire E1 line into loopback
national Set E1 National Reserve Bits.
no Negate a command or set its defaults
pri-group Configure the specified timeslots for PRI
shutdown Shut down a E1 link (send Blue Alarm)
snmp Modify SNMP controller parameters
tdm-group Configure DS0 group for TDM
trunk-group Configure interface to be in a trunk group
Here are the logs I see time to time:
Apr 20 17:26:36.975: %NETCLK-6-SRC_UPD: Synchronization source E1 0/1/0 status (Signal Failure clear) is posted to all selection process.
Apr 20 17:26:36.975: %NETCLK-6-SRC_UPD: Synchronization source E1 0/1/0 status (Critical Alarms clear) is posted to all selection process.
Apr 20 17:26:36.977: %NETCLK-6-SEL_CLOCK_SRC: Synchronization source E1 0/1/0 is selected by selection process(T0) to synchronize the system and generate T0 output.

You need to type the clock source command inside controller config.
What you have given isn't correct."Router(config)#clock source network ?"
Please go in controller config and then enter
Router(config)# controller t1 0/1/1
Router(config-controller)# clock source network
04-20-2016 09:42 AM
I entered your command:
Router(config)#controller E1 0/1/0
Router(config-controller)#clock source network
This command replace the command clock source line primary I had before.
It doesn't seem to work better:
Router#sh network-clocks synchronization

NA - Not Applicable
* - Synchronization source selected
# - Synchronization source force selected
& - Synchronization source manually switched

Hi Thomas,
I was just referring this link where the command is appearing. even link says
"When the NIM is used for voice applications, all voice T1/E1s have to be synchronized to a single clock source and any difference in clocks risk clock slips or interface flaps"
What is show version of router?
