No MOH - Restart cisco ip voice media streaming app fixes the problem

Hello All,

I have a call manager 10.5.2.12901-1 cluster and cisco ip voice media streaming app running on the two TFPT nodes.

Since the install in January we have had two tickets come through where calls are receiving silent MOH.

On both occasions, this has been fixed by restarting the service "cisco ip voice media streaming app"

I do see this in the traces :

When it stops working do you see errors in RTMT?

Have you checked during hold if media stream is allocated by the registered
CUCM from CLI?
show perf query class "Cisco MOH Device"

Hello Mohammed,
I will create an action plan with the above steps in case it happens again.
Thanks for the feedback,
Regards,
Mathew

Not aware of a bug on this version which can cause this, Also along with the info already asked for please pull detailed Callmanager and IPVMSA logs along with the details of the call (calling number, called number, timestamp) when this issue happens. To further isolate this issue you would also want to confirm if the issue is seen only seen when an external number is involved or if it's seen for internal calls as well.

Please rate if you find this helpful.

Aeby
