Hi Guys,
I am experiencing a problem where if users receive an external call from the pstn, and the caller presses the mute button, i get a start/stop noise/interference on my phone.This is particularly audible when on speakerphone.Any help or suggestions will do to point me in the right direction.

Hi Bruce,
This is likely a Phone Firmware issue. Can you send the Phone model and current Firmware they are running.

7970 are @ present SCCP70.8-0-4SR3S
7936 are @ present CMTERM_7936.3-3-8-0
Done a bit more fact finding and what we found is that if for example i make a call from my cisco handset out to my mobile phone, answer the call and then perhaps block the mouthpiece of my mobile so there is silence, then thats when i get the start/stop noise. Sounds like white noise. Could it be a QOS or VAD related problem ??
