Not able to import LDAP users which previously exists in CUCM

Hi

We have CUCM 8.6, we have created one user for IPCCX admin login on CallManager.

Once we integrate CUCM with LDAP that local user deleted automatically from CUCM.

Even we created same user in LDAP AD, that particular user ID is not appearing on CUCM.

Becoz of this problem we are not able to login to IPCCX admin page.

Is there any way in CUCM to resolve this issue.

Rgds

Make sure that the UCCX user you created on your LDAP server has a first name and last name filed out.  CUCM has those as required fields so if the synced user is missing either of those the user will not sync.  Also make sure the sync attribute you are using for UserID is populated on the LDAP server.  Lastly do other users still show active when you use an LDAP sync, just not the UCCX admin user?

Rajesh,

Enabling LDAP integration would not delete existing users in CUCM but they will be disabled/deactivated. Obviously, UCCX Admin user faced the same issue. I dont think, creating the same user in AD will reactivate it in CUCM.

I would suggest opening a TAC case if you do not receive any good pointers from here.

Sorry to see you in mess, buddy.

One more thing you can do is

1. If you can afford, remove the LDAP integration with CUCM, which will reactivate existing CUCM users & deactivate AD imported users, but you will see your UCCX Admin user active by doing this.

2. Login to UCCX Appadmin using your UCCX admin user. Go to Tools >> User Management >> Administrator Capability View.

3. Add any other user say XYZ ( this user must be imported one from AD ) from " Available Users " section to " Cisco Unified CCX Administrator* " & click update.

4. Now you can re-initiate the CUCM - LDAP integration with AD. This will reactivate XYZ & deactivate your UCCX Admin user.

5. Login using XYZ to UCCX appadmin page, here onwards.

Lemme know how it goes.

Pls remember to rate the post if it helps.

Dear Martini

Thanks a lot. Last name was missing in Active directory.

Problem resolved.
