This setup will not work. When the call comes in from the gateway, the called number will be 901 - 999. So if your translation pattern is 912XXX2X79XX, it will not get matched, and the call will fail with unallocated number.
Change the translation pattern to 9XX, and add '7' in the prefix field for called number. Also, set the CSS of the translation pattern to one that has access to all the phone partitions from 900 - 999. This setup will work.

Hi Yogesh,
You've mentioned that you have 4 digit internal extensions. However, in the setup message, we are only seeing 3 digits in the called party field. Is any translation being done on this?
Also, what's the significant digit setting that you have kept on the gateway in the CUCM GUI configuration?
Thanks

Hi Sreekanth
I tried to create Translation pattern but was unsuccessful,(Can you help me with the same)
PSTN NUM:- 0XXXX-2X79XX ( Board line number )
I have kept it as 4 also tried 3 and then ALL
But no go

What exactly are you trying to do? The called number is 901. Are you trying to change this to 0XXXX-2X7901?
1. You need to create a translation-pattern for 9XX, and this should be in a partition that is present in the Gateway's incoming CSS.
2. In the translation-pattern, you prefix the called number with 0XXXX2X

Actually i have give Ip phones 4 digit ext
79XX - 7999
Its seems that ISP is sending 3 digits instead of 4 ,so now bit confused to do translation pattern
Translation pattern:- 912XXX2X79XX
Called party transformation mask:- 79XX
Prefix digits:- 0

This is not an incoming call. It looks like an outgoing call to me. I was providing the solution for the incoming direction from the PSTN to the IP phone. Have you tried that?
You should not have the same translation for both incoming and outgoing calls..
12-29-2014 03:28 AM
Yes your solution for incoming calls worked thanks a lot for it
Yes it was outgoing call, Any idea how i should go about the outgoing call
outgoing calls local numbers 6 digit
12-29-2014 03:47 AM
For outgoing calls you will need to configure a Route Pattern such as 9.XXXXXX, if all digits are allowed for all the places. The 9 is usually used by organizations to indicate a call being dialed out to the PSTN.
This Route pattern should then have a Predot strip configuration on the called number, so that the 9 is removed before sending it to the gateway.
The Route Pattern will point to a Route List -> Route Group, or directly to the gateway.
12-29-2014 03:52 AM
The Route pattern is in place
0.[2-9]XXXXX
I have unchecked Calling Party Transformation and discard digit:- Predot
Do i need any translation pattern ?
12-29-2014 03:55 AM
No you don't need a translation pattern. This should be enough. You also need to make sure you are sending the right number type and plan. In the earlier message you posted, it showed Unknown, Unknown. Some PSTN providers want the right plan and type. You need to make sure this is right if your provider is one of them.
Called Party Number i = 0x80, '2X79XX'
Plan:Unknown, Type:Unknown

I have spoken with the Service Provider(BSNL), he says for outgoing call also they require 3 digits
Here is the output i get while doing outgoing call (Still its not successful)

It looks like BSNL wants something else as well along with what you are sending in the SETUP message. Some other information. Or a difference in the information you are sending. You'll need to get back to them regarding this again.
Called Party Number i = 0x80, '904'
Plan:Unknown, Type:Unknown
You are sending only 3 digits. Ask them if everything else about the SETUP is ok, such as plan and type of number.

HI spoke with them they say that they want 3 digit, here is the output i made some changes in Calling number
