Hi,
I bought one week ago an UC NFR pack with all products in 8.x version. We are a Cisco training Center and I have to prepare new CCNP 8.0 voice rack.
I receive PAKs for every products : CUCM, CUPS, Meeting place, UCCX but I cannot find PAK (serial number) for Unity Connection...That is my first problem, since I have to configure VPIM and I'm not sure that demo license will be happy with that.
The second problem is to installed all product, especially Call Manager and Unity connection, on VMware (workstation). I know it's not supported...As an authorized training center, we have rights to do it, no problem :-). My problem is, after entering my CUCM PAK in http://www.cisco.com/go/license, I want to put the MAC adress and I have en error message specifying the mac adress is incorrect....This problem appears only with mac adress that begins by 000c29xxxxxx. All other mac is accepted...However, I can specify in the web pages, that my CUCM will be installed on a VM...
So, 2 problems -> No PAK for Cisco Unity Connection 8.x and no way to obtain license with mac beginning by 000c29.
Do you have any solution or do you know a Cisco e-mail or a Cisco phone number, in relation with NFR Pack sales to expose my problem.
Thanks a lot

May be because Cisco basically opposes virtualization. You should be able to change the mac address ?

Hi ,
I already got NFR package .Actually I want to build small lab for MeetingPlace 8.0 including the WebEx node, so I have 3 questions:
1. Are there any demo webex site that can be used to register WebEx node for lab purposes?
2. I already have my WebEx site subscribtion accounts so Is there anyway to upgrade that site to be used with WebEx node?
3. Who should I contact if I want to order WebEx Site to register my WebEx node ?
Regards

Rahaman, did you get the mac address thing sorted out?
Best Regards

You cannot define the MAC you want to use with Cisco virtualization, there is a process that takes care of that based on the configuration from the server
On Cisco Unity Connection physical servers, each license file for a Cisco Unity Connection is registered to the MAC address of the network interface card in the server. On Connection virtual machines, each license file (except for demonstration license files) is registered to a license MAC value. This value is calculated to look like a MAC address based on several settings (time zone, hostname, IP address, SSL certificate information, and others), but it is not a real MAC address.
Very similar to CUCM:
Cisco Unified Communications Manager on VMware on Cisco UCS B-Series Blade Servers uses a different licensing model than Cisco Unified Communications Manager on an MCS server. The MAC address of the NIC card is no longer used to associate the license to the server.
Instead, the license gets associated to a license MAC, which is a 12 digit HEX value created by hashing the following parameters that you configure on the server:
•Time zone
•NTP server 1 (or "none")
•NIC speed (or "auto")
•Hostname
•IP Address (or "dhcp")
•IP Mask (or "dhcp")
•Gateway Address (or "dhcp")
•Primary DNS (or "dhcp")
•SMTP server (or "none")
•Certificate Information (Organization, Unit, Location, State, Country)
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/rel_notes/8_0_1/delta/vmware.html
Changing any of the above causes the license to entry a 30 day grace period over which you need to get a new license with the new MAC from the changed values.
