PCD question

A quick question about PCD.  I have a Unity Connection server, 9.1(2)SU5, with unaligned partitions.  Will PCD work upgrading the cluster to 10.x or 11.x and take care of the unaligned partition issue?  A vendor told me that this would not work, but I think that it would.  Anyone got any thoughts on this?  Thanks.

PCD automates upgrade and migration task only, so I don't think PCD take care (or helps to get rid of it) of unaligned partition, this is something which you need to resolve it separately.

It is my understanding that when I use PCD to migrate to a new version(a new VM instance), a new OVA is installed for the migration.  Shouldn't that take care of the alignment problem?

And as per PCD 10.5 release notes below upgrades are supported so again I don't think you can upgrade cuc 9.1 to 10.5 or 11.x using PCD.

• From 10.0(1) to 10.x

Ok, I see.  Migration is supported for CUCM & CUPS, but not Unity Connection.  Got it.  Thanks.

Hi

You can not use Migration but you can use PCD for upgrade of CUC

And even an upgrade for CUC would take care of "unaligned partition"
