Hi,

do you try this:

Restart the Cisco XCP router service and start the Cisco unified persence Message
archiver. I explain depeer:

Restart the Cisco XCP Router on all nodes in the cluster by choosing Cisco Unified IM and
Presence Serviceability > Tools > Control Center - Network Services. Note the following:
If the Cisco XCP Text Conference Manager service was already running, it will automatically
restart when you restart the Cisco XCP Router.
If the Cisco XCP Text Conference Manager service was not already running, you must start it
after the Cisco XCP Router has restarted. To start the Cisco XCP Text Conference Manager
service, choose Cisco Unified IM and Presence Serviceability > Tools > Control Center - Feature
Services.

And check this about External database connection:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/im_presence/database_setup/10_5_2/CUP0_BK_D4BFFAC9_00_database-setup-guide-imp-1052/CUP0_BK_D4BFFAC9_00_database-setup-guide-imp-1052_chapter_011.pdf

Last question, are you in IPv6?

If the IM and Presence Service connects to an external database server using IPv6, ensure that the enterprise parameter is configured for IPv6 and that Eth0 is set for IPv6 on each node in the deployment; otherwise, the connection to the external database server fails. The message archiver and Cisco XCP Text Conference Manager will be unable to connect to the external database and will fail. For information about configuring IPv6 on the IM and Presence Service, see Configuration and Administration of IM and Presence Service on Cisco Unified Communications Manager :

Go to IM Admin web >> Messaging >> External sever setup >> External Database. Choose the database to view the entries and see if it tells you anything.
If not helpful, go to Diagnostics and run the troubleshooter.

its working but i get error in database schema !!!!

i get this error now "The following external database server's database schema verification failed:"

Hi,

for the schema failed issue you need to unassign the external database from the node, and reassign it again.

Verify following logfiles on your presence node which you connect to the DB server:

file list activelog /epas/trace/xcp/log/*txt-conf-1* det dat

which are the logs from  XCP Text Conference Manager

Example of a non-sucessful SQL connection:

admin:file tail activelog /epas/trace/xcp/log/txt-conf-1_00000014.log.gz

13:54:17.937 |f76cfb70| info| bedrock Application exit requested (-1): gear load failed.

As you can see in the logs the service stopped.

Typical root causes are e.g. simply local firewall on server or you DB is not running or listening on another port.
