Phone language change on Cisco 8851 SIP phone

Hi,

I am trying to change language from English (Default) to French (Canada) on Cisco 8851 phones. The CUCM version is 9.1.2 and I am intending to use below cop file as per Cisco recommendation. 

French (Canada)                   cm-locale-fr_CA-9.1.2.1100-1.cop.sgn   FRA

But while am checking device compatibility the option is unchecked for Cisco 8841/51/61 series phones. Now am confused whether this cop file will work or do I need to use any other file? Please suggest.

The above mentioned one will not work for French (Canada), you will need to apply po-locale-fr_CA-k3-11.7.1.1000-1.cop.sgn which has support for French (Canada) on 8841/51/61 phones. Refer below:

This one will definitely work with CM 9.1.2 provided you have applied the latest DP on CUCM that provides 11.7.1 FW for the IP Phones. If you have gone through the release notes shared above, it clearly states Cisco Unified Communications Phone Only Locale Installer k3-11.7.1.1000is intended to be installed on any version of Cisco Unified Communications Manager which supports Cisco IP phone firmware 11.7.1.
