Phones Automatically Restarting themselves

We have some 8841 phones and 7841 phones. Everything had been working fine for quite a while. We have 6 Cisco WS-C2960L-48PS-LL switches. We upgraded the firmware on all 6 switches to version 15.2(6)E2b

All of the phones on two of the switches now reboot themselves about 30 seconds after they come up and connect, then the phone shuts down and goes through the process again. If I move the phone to one of the other four switches without the issue, the phone works fine. The switches themselves dont seem to be showing any errors.

I looked in the debug log of one of the phones and see this:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you run the command on the switch “debug ilpower” to check if there are any PoE issues of these switches?

From what I can see the phone powers on and is detected as a Cisco phone and the proper amount of power is supplied. Then after a minute or so the phone is no longer detected as a cisco phone but as a generic POE device and 4 Watts are supplied instead of the normal 3.6 Watts.

Prior to the stared line the phone is detected as a Cisco 7841 once it changes to IEEE PD the output power on the switch changes

That is a very bad choice of a firmware.  Try another IOS version.

Are there a lot of known bugs with this version? Is there a version you'd recommend?

Try 15.2(4)E7 or 15.2(6)E2.
