PIMG Gateway routing - VoIP endpoint - an IP address or 9001?

We have a little bit of a debate going here!

We are replacing our Voice Mail with Unity as a first step to a final VoIP solution. Should the PIMG gateway routing point at a specific IP address (the Unity server) or the 9001 # listed in the Cisco documentation?

My preference is the 9001 #.

I think it will be better for PIMG gateway to point to Unity server. Following link may help you
