We have agents using a Plantronics DA45 usb dongle with Cisco Softphone 8.6 on Dell Latitude E6440 and for some reason they recently stopped working.
When the agent is on a call and picks it up thru the Softphone, the phone stops seeing the headset and sends the audio thru the built in speakers and mic. The agent then has to shut down and reboot pc to get the Plantronics device to show back up under Preferences on the Softphone.
All this just started and the agent has been on the new pc for about 3 months now with no issue.
My only thought is an incompatibility between the Plantronics DA45 and the 64 bit Windows based laptop?
Any direction would be helpful?
