Hi,

below explains the difference

NTP reference is for SIP devices only, SCCP devices always pull time from Call Manager, so they use Date and Time Group assigned to the device pool to place them in the correct time zone.  You add a NTP reference point into the Date and Time Group so any SIP phones assigned to the device pool will get the correct time zone and will get NTP from a NTP reference point.  Call Manager does not use these NTP reference points for SCCP phones, to set the call manager to use a NTP server is done under the OS Admin page Settings>NTP Servers.

Thanks Jithender.

One Doubt.:-

SCCP phones taking the time from Call manager and convert the time based on the "Date and Time Group".?

Whether the SIP phone taking from NTP reference, how the phone gets the time based on the Country.

Means NTP server have one UTC time.SIP phone have ET timezone. So how it converts.

Is there any messages happen in between the devices ?
