Hi!

I was wondering if there is a way to enable\disable the Auto Answer function in the CCMuser web? I have looked at all the settings in Enterprise Parameters and in the End users, but I have not been able to find the solution. Can it be done?

Regards

Eirik

Hi,

AUTO-ANSWER is a setting under the Line (Directotory Number) of a phone etc.

Not sure about you CUCM version so this is 7.1 link

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/7_1_2/ccmcfg/b03dn.html#wp1337027

Look down this table  you will see

Auto Answer

Choose one of the following options to activate the Auto Answer feature for this directory number:

Auto Answer Off

Auto Answer with Headset

Auto Answer with Speakerphone

Note Make sure that the headset or speakerphone is not disabled when you choose Auto Answer with headset or Auto Answer with speakerphone.

Note Do not configure Auto Answer for devices that have shared lines.

Hi again Alex.

I know where to change the setting in CCMadmin. What I am looking for is a easy way for the users to change the setting for their phone. I was thinking I could use the CCMuser web page for this, but not sure if it is possible?

Hi,

No -- only CUCM Admin can change this setting.

I don't understand why Cisco haven't made a solution for the user to be able to choose if he wants Auto answer on his own line or not!?

That would be a PER and you need to submit one thru your AM so it's considered for future releases.

Does anyone know if it it possible to make a user in ccmadmin with rights only to change the line settings on the web?

If so what roles should this user have?

Hi,

Have a look at

User Management --> Role--> Standard CCM Phone Management

This one will allow read/write of the line settings.

Copy this one and use your own naming convention

Examine the read write permissions and add/remove the ones you want

Then create your app user with this role
