Hello All
I need to do a proof of concept for a client. Basically they are one organisation with seperate independant child sites.
These child sites have their own individual AD and CUCM clusters.
The client wishes to pilot the use of Unified Communications and Collaboration technologies to evaluate the benefits and impact these capabilities can offer in improving both internal and external communication.
It is proposed that a pilot system of Cisco Jabber technology is deployed to provide the full suite of collaboration applications such as; presence, instant messaging, click-to-call voice and desktop video telephony to handheld tablets and windows desktops between all the pilot users.
In addition the Jabber for Windows desktops and Jabber for mobile clients will link to the WebEx meeting centre in the cloud.
To provide a similar service to both sets of users then we need to consider creating two trial systems, one for child org 1 and one for child org 2. Each one could then attach to its own AD domain and then we can federate to allow IM/Presence between user groups.
The plan is to:
4 servers to be installed on a C-series server.
Can you provide some any relevant docs and any build docs that will help me to capture customer information that I will need to start the install as I am not familiar with these products.
Thanks in advance.

I suggest just installing an IM&P/CUP server for each of the two child organizations and integrating it with the existing CUCM clusters. Building out duplicate CUCM clusters adds way more complexity than is necessary and will make it harder to transition from a POC into production.
With that said here are some documentation resources:
