I recently acquired two CP-6851-3PCC used from a call center. The first thing I did was a factory reset. Unfortunately just after the factory reset both phones says "applying configuration" and soon after I can't enter the administrator web page anymore. Apparently the phone is trying to contact cisco for CDA/EDOS provisioning. The previous owner is bankrupt so I have no way of getting help from them. Temporarily I am using fixed IP configuration with an intentionally wrong (non-existent) default gateway so the phones are trying to perform EDOS but they can't succeed. But I wonder if there's a way I can disable this from the phone settings?
Also, it could be related to this or could be a fault on the phone, the handset hook switch always read the handset down even when it's up, as far as I know there's no configuration option for forcing the phone to ignore the hook switch?
