primary access card

Hi all,

I want to choose a primary access card for Cisco router 2911, it should support up to 32 telephony line.what i should choose?

Hi Moussa,

. The Cisco 2900 and 3900 Series platforms support the new PVDM3 DSP module as well as the PVDM2 DSP module supported on the Cisco 2800 and 3800 Series routers. You can order the PVDM3 in six increasing densities of DS-0 channel support. Table 7 gives a complete list.

PVDM3-32	32-channel packet fax and voice DSP module
PVDM3-64	64-channel packet fax and voice DSP module
PVDM3-128	128-channel packet fax and voice DSP module
PVDM3-192	192-channel packet fax and voice DSP module
PVDM3-256	256-channel packet fax and voice DSP module

If you are expecting 32 calls then you will need either a PVDM3-16 + PVDM3-32 , else you may choose a PVDM3-64 if there are any expansion plans in the future.

Please note that one channel on a T1 or E1 is a D-channel which does not take calls, hence a single PVDM3-32 will not work if you are using T1/E1.

what i mean is EHWIC Interface card, can i use this one  HWIC-1CE1T1-PRIN ?

HWIC-1CE1T1-PRI does work with 2911 as per the following

okey Manish,

in router 2911 i have 4 EHWIC slot, i want to choose 3 EHWIC Interfaces to connect to PSTN Network ( 12 RJ11 jacks) and 1 EHWIC Interface to primary access ( 1 jack) . can you help me what's EHWIC interfaces i should choose?
