Hi,
If I put the command ´sh license detail cme-srst´ I receive this :
RouterVallecas#sh license detail cme-srst
Feature: cme-srst Period left: 5 weeks 6 days
Index: 1 Feature: cme-srst Version: 1.0
License Type: EvalRightToUse
License State: Active, In Use
Evaluation total period: 8 weeks 4 days
Evaluation period left: 5 weeks 6 days
Period used: 2 weeks 4 days
Transition date: Sep 03 2012 20:02:37
License Count: 32/0 (In-use/Violation)
License Priority: Low
Store Index: 7
Store Name: Built-In License Storage
This mean is already installed the license? because althoug says ´License State: Active, In Use´ there is only a Evaluation period of 8 w and 4 d.
When this period expire, should I keep on using the CME router?
Do I need to do anything else or is all ok?
Thanks and regards!

I Ivan,
CME / SRST licenses are honor based and hence you have to just accept the EULA. After the 60 days of evaluation the license will change to "right to use" for 12 years.

Hi,
Ok thanks, now i see in the cme
Feature name EULA Accepted
------------ -------------
ipbasek9 n/a
securityk9 yes
uck9 n/a
datak9 yes
gatekeeper no
SSL_VPN no
ios-ips-update no
SNASw no
hseck9 n/a
cme-srst yes
WAAS_Express no
UCVideo no
so, as you say, there is already accepted, and after 2 weeks the license will expire in 12 y.

HI
Yes.
Basically as per me, Cisco consider 12 year as life of the product so you can use the CME/SRST till the product is alive ( i.e 12 years).

Hi Ivan,
+5 to Ronak for these excellent tips!
Just thought that I would add that in newer IOS's the 12 year RTU ( right to use)
license has been replaced with a "Lifetime" RTU license
