I am new to the Cisco Call Manager and IP Telephony. I am also volunteering for a non-profit museum that had a 1760 with several 7940/7941 phones donated. All but three of the phones display correct time zone settings. The three phones (two 7940 and one 7941) have a file not found error when booting. The profile file they are looking for is in the flash of the 1760. All phones are on the correct VLAN and are pulling correct IP information.
A side note is that due to the load on the 1760, we can not access the GUI of the 1760. One option there is to remove the LAN segment, login to the GUI and make any changes needed. One of my options that I have not tried yet. Is replacing one of the problem phones with a "spare" and updating the MAC for the user.
The phones are reporting "File not found: P00308000500"
Here is the show version and show flash from the 1760 for reference.

Hi Troy,
Check phone type mentioned under ephone of these three phones . Like this..
ephone 1
type 7940
If its there can you attach "debug tftp events" and "sh telephony-service tftp-bindings" , when one of the faulty phone try to register with CME.
Rate all the helpful post.
Thanks

Manish,
Thank you for your reply. I found the type for each of the phones with problems was set incorrectly. Some phones had:
ephone 1
type 7960 or type 7920
The tftp debug showed that a 7941 that had a type of 7960 trying to load the profile for 7960. Once the type was set correctly, the phone loaded correct profile and the time zone displayed correctly.
Thank you again.
Troy
Now for me to find a replacement for the 1760 for a resonable price.
