Dear all,
I have Cisco Router 2811 with 768MB DRAM, 512MB Flash, 2 FXS and 2 FXO.
QUESTIONS:
1. If I want to use latest CME (I think ver 10)
Do I need to buy PVDM for IP Telephoney
If yes, how big should I buy.
Is it 1x 48Channel or 2x32Channel
2. Can I mix between 32 and 48Channel
3. In eBay I saw Cisco PVDM2-8 GENUINE 8-Channel Packet Voice Fax DSP Module.
Is 8 Channel mean 8 concurrent call
4. Without PVDM, can I still send and receive fax?
5. What's new feature in CUCM 11
thanks

1 Assuming you're going to use TDM, yes, you need PVDMs
The size of the PVDM?? depends on what TDM interface(s) you will use
2 yes
3 Assuming you use G.711, yes, those are 8 channels
4 No, unless it's pure IP faxing, if you want to use a fax machine plugged into an FXS, you need PVDMs
5 Read the release notes, that is explained there.

@Jamie,
Assuming someone sell 2811+FXS+FXO+E1/T1 without PVDM.
That mean the buyer can only do:
1. One call at a time.
If I call outside. Nobody can do incoming call
2. Can't do PSTN Fax
What else I can't do without PVDM.
Or can I say without PVDM, I can only call between extension
3. I just read EVM.
In what situation I need that card

No, you cannot make any calls that use TDM, so, your FXS, your FXO and your E1 are useless without PVDMs I suggest you search PVDM on cisco.com and read on the subject.
