Does anyone have a good debug q931 of an QSIG MWI to a Nortel 1000M or any other pbx? I am having issues lighting the Nortel phones MWI and am seeing some different bearer cap information than a standard station to station call. I have attached the q931 debug that shows a normal call and also an attempt to light the MWI.

Code for MWI is A8 80 you will see that in the bearer capability, Nortel PBX is returning "Call Rejected" Cause i = 0x8195
Please verify with Nortel why they are rejecting the call to CUCM for MWI.
Last month we worked with Nortel and problem was Nortel rejecting the call because of ISDN Numplan/Type Plan
They were set to national, national, ISDN, ISDN. They were changed this way because the
PBX was not accepting some calls. I changed them all back to cisco callmanager, and the PBX accepted the MWI request. But thats something Nortel should answer

Thanks for the reply. Why does the MWI request change the bearer to "Unrestricted Digital"? I have been modifying the number plan but with no success, I'll verify with their Nortel team. Do you remember what version of software they were running on the Nortel side?

Unfortunatly I dont have the version, but here is a working one
Feb 18 16:44:33.610 CST: ISDN Se1/0:23 Q931: RX <- SETUP pd = 8
callref = 0x1201
Sending Complete
Bearer Capability i = 0xA880
Standard = ISO/IEC
Transer Capability = Unrestricted Digital
Transfer Mode = Circuit
Transfer Rate = Packet - not specified
Channel ID i = 0xAC

Calling Party Number i = 0xC9, '3100'
Plan:Private, Type:Subscriber(local)
Called Party Number i = 0xC9, '8802'

Transer Capability is not relevant at all, the MWI code is the most important option.

Is 3100 your MWI on DN?
