Re-Using IP Phone Licenses with CME

Dear Experts,

I'm working in a company that acquired another company which in turn was having a number of IP Phones' Licenses (7970 and 7960) to operate with CME

Now, the curent company wants to buy a new vwrsion of the CMD

Can we utilize the IP Phones' Licenses existing now with the new CME version?

And, Is there any way we can get a benifit of the old CME license itself other than the Phones' Licenses?

Mahmoud,

First of all licenses are not enforced on CME, so it's not like you can take them and apply somewhere else, if they were purchased on on CME and you have valid support contract (ESW) you can use it on another CME, if you have valid UCSS you can even upgrade it to newer version legally.
