Recommended RAID configuration for UC Environment

Hi

We are using UCS C220M3 server for Virtulization, currently we are using RAID10. but TRC#1 shows Cisco tested with RAID5, how the RAID configuration going to effect to UC servers? what is the recommended RAID configuration for UC envoronment, (for CUCM,UCCX,UNITY,CUPS).

Hi

The TRCs pretty much ARE the recommended configurations... RAID5 vs RAID10 is a tradeoff of extra resilience against cost really, but if you are monitoring the servers properly for disk failures and you are properly backing up all the applications then RAID5 is probably fine.
