dear All,
our organization is all set to deploy IPT, and our team is currently in a designing phase.
1. we are looking for 2000 DID numbers as per requirement. our serice provider option 1: can give 2K DID in a contiguous range.
for example
61055000 to 610551999
option 2: in 1000 DID number in one range and 1000 DID number in another range.
for Ex
61055XXX
61056XXX
for design considerations;
a) which you think is the best choice and why ?
b) we procured unity server that needs to deployed in unified messaging mode. for VOice Mail box access we don;t want to give DID for that, if that is the case then how it will be designed to access voice mail.

Hi,
If you look at your example, both things are actually the same and numbers are contiguous.
Because, to have 2,000 DID you would be starting from 610550000, not 61055000.
b. VM can be accessed by users, by calling your own DID number, and enter # and PIN while announcement is played.

To explain better, the first alternative is not really contiguous. Is two blocks, one is 8 digits long, and the other is 9 digits.
Ideally, you want all you numbers to be of the same length.
