We have CUCM 7.1.5 in our company and we need to add some newly arrived 7841 IP phones into it.
As we go through new phone configuration window we cannot see 7841 ip phone in order to add. Has anyone encountered this problem. Is there any kind of fix for this.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Sajith,
you need to have min. Call manager 8.5.1
Call-Control Support |
|
Cisco Unified Communications Manager |
● 8.5.1 ● 8.6.2 ● 9.1.2 ● 10.x and later |
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/collaboration-endpoints/unified-ip-phone-7800-series/data-sheet-c78-729488.pdf
You need to upgrade the call manager.

No, it will not. Check the Readme for this Device Pack to find the list of phones it will support:

Thank you for the detailed answer. Looked into link and it seems upgrading is required.
But by any chance would this device pack for CUCM 7.1 help on this situation ?
If applying this allows us to add new phone firmware into CUCM, 7841 will be supported and then we are good for sometime, is it?

Adding to what Aman informed (+5), there is no Device Pack as well for CM 7.1.5 which can allow you to add this phone. You will need to go at least on 8.5 and then apply the latest Device Pack available.
