registering a cisco phone through vpn?

i have :

2xcucm version "10.5.2"

2xIMP version " 10.5.2"

2xcuc version "10.5.1.10000-7"

we have a branch that is connected to us through vpn , they have a dhcp with option 150 over their network pointing to our cucm , we already have a functioning phone but i need to add another one , should the other phone connect normally or there is special steps for registering phones over vpn?

Hi,

If you have a VPN tunnel from remote site to main site then the registration process is no different then the phones on central site from CUCM and ip phone perspective. If the phone is not picking ip address then try manually assigning ip address on the phone by disabling DHCP and see if it registers.
