Remote Destination Schedule

Hi,

Is it possible to give 2 different time of the day to remote destination schedule.

We have a requirement where in the user's cellphone should only ring during non-business hours when his extn is called. For eg, the cellphone should not ring from 9am to 5pm, but it should ring on all the other times.

I checked the settings in CUCM and we can configure it only for one set of time period, say, 12am to 9am, not for 5pm to 12am.

Regards,

Libin Benedict

Remote destination allows only one time period per day. One way to work around this would be to create two DNs in different partitions each with a remote destination profile/remote destination. Each remote destination would be configured with a different schedule but would point to the same external number. Then use time of day routing to route to each DN at the proper time.

Hi Brandon,

Thanks for your response.

But it looks like we cannot create two remote destinations with the same external number.

We can achive the requirement by having 2 different remote destinations (and different external numbers) each with a different schedule and mapped to the same directory number. But if we have only one external number, it is not possible.

Thanks and regards,

Make the second remote destination similar and then use a translation pattern or digit discard instruction on the route pattern to translate back to the same number. For example:

Remote Desitnation 1 - 91112222

Remote Destination 2 - 991112222

You could create a translation pattern to translate 991112222 to 91112222 or your could create an additional route pattern such as 99.1112222 and discard predot.

Hi Brandon,

Customer no longer has this requirement now. I will check this on my side later.

Thanks for your suggestions.
