Does anyone have any experience or know about any application that can bulk edit the TFTP address on a group of phones with a new static IP address. I am doing a migration from a UC 7 envrionment to a UC 9 envrionment, and changing the TFTP option in DHCP is not an option for my scenario.
I have talked to 2 companies that say this functionality is coming, but they have not realeased the version that allows this.
Thanks,

You would be better served with a phone remote control product like the one offered by Uplinx.

For remote phone control we used Variphy in the past and it was a great product.
They let you have a free trial. Our trial took us all the way up to almost the end of the upgrade however it did not have the ability to do bulk TFTP address changes. You would still have to remote connect to each one as far as I know.

I personally use a professional licnesed copy so it is not limited to any one cluster. Standard license only allows manipulation of a single cluster. Cost difference is nominal.

Yes, you can bulk change TFTP addresses of phones with the Macro feature in Variphy - see bottom Macro. You can schedule the Macro to run off-production hours and get a report of phones where the Macro did and did not work. When requesting a trial, mention the Support Forum as the referral source and you can get the unrestricted, full version for up to 120 days use for free.

I strongly recommend you take a trial of PhoneView from UnifiedFX (http://www.unifiedfx.com/phoneview/trial), you can do anything remotely and in bulk (not just macros). This includes confirming the current TFTP Server settings (including Alt TFTP), filtering with a single mouse click, and exporting the data too.
PhoneView introduced the concept of bulk macro's in the first release, now with the latest release (Version 4.0) is now up to 100 times faster than other products because of the highly optimised queing engine. As an example you can bulk update 10,000+ phones in minutes instead of hours.
Kind Regards.
