This probably an easy question but I just wanted to clarify this before I continue with the install. I have a customer that had an old version of Contact Center (5.x) I believe but have since purchased 2 new CCX 8.x servers. The old 5.x was never used but it was installed and therefore the CTI ports and application users were populated in CM. Do I need to clear out the old settings before going forward with the install? If so, do I just need to delete the CTI ports and application users? The old box is being decommissioned.
Yes you should delete the CTI Ports, CTI Route Points, directory numbers, and application users. CCX will not overwrite these in the CUCM database if they exist.
