Hi to all,
I'm installing a new CUCM with DNS information configured but I'm getting an error message about Reverse DNS lookup.
I have a register in the dns for the name of the cucm and reverse dns lookup for the network that this server has configured.
Does anyone knows what exactly has to be configured in the DNS server in order to support the dns configuration for the cucm???
Here I attached the error message.
Please your help.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Alfonso,
Please check whether DNS server is reachable from Call Manager by using utils network ping command .
Secondly, seeing the error message it looks that Reverse DNS lookup needs to be configured on Windows 2008 Server on which u have installled DNS functionality.
Please refer this for reverse DNSlookup configurration.

Also, are u using any underscors in Publisher and Secondary Hostname which seems to be limitation on Microsift DNS servers.

Yes, you also need the PTR.
Create it manually and reload the zone.

Keep getting Reverse DNS lookup mismatch, however I re-created the zone several times and only one PRT on server, how is reverse dns not working?
