Dears,

I have one customer having 500 branches and they are using 2921 with CUE module, they decided to change the router by 4331 with ucs-e module.

My question how this solution will work (configuration, installation, design).

Thanks in advance.

Ali

Hi Ali,

You can go for Unity Connection installation on 4331 ISR but the number of users is limited to 150 on BE6000 Small.

Hi Ali,

this is what I could find but I doubt this is going to help .

regds,

You will just install the VMWare hypervisor and then UC apps on top of the ESXi host as per any other  UCS server. The document my friend Aman has provided should have the details how to connect and setup the UCS blade on router.

I noticed you have given his post a very low rating - I will rate Aman's post (+5) but I would encourage you to use the rating generously for some one taking the initiative of helping you.

Now regards to the application design, A Unity Connection cluster can only have two servers in the cluster. If your DC already has a CUC installed as the publisher you can install the CUC on UCS-E as sub server (with first node as your DC server). Refer to the design guide for cluster overview and network requirements, if you go through this you should be able to get all the information you need:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/10x/design/guide/10xcucdgx/10xcucdg060.html#pgfId-1050709

But in case you already have a Unity Connection cluster and want to connect two clusters, refer to below section of the design guide:

Ref: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/10x/design/guide/10xcucdgx/10xcucdg030.html#pgfId-1057296

I would recommend to read through the design guide for a solid understanding. Please let us know if you have got any more queries.
