SCCP and SIP Phone Communication

UCCX: 10.6.1

We are currently using 7945/7965 IP phones with SCCP protocol in our environment. Our provider is no longer carrying these phones, and we are now being quoted 8841/8851 phones. These 8800 phones only use SIP protocol.

Has anyone had any experience running both these phones in the same environment?

Does anyone know of any issues with the SCCP and SIP phones communicating with each other?

Any input is helpful.

Hi Josh,

This is what CUCM is build to run,

1) it supports multiple protocol.

2) A call can be initiated from SCCP phone to SIP Phone and CUCM would take care of interoperability etc.

You can do it eyes close.
