Dear all

We have cucm version 9.x and all the phones (6921,89xx) have a delay 8-10 sec to dial the internal extension numbers.

Conditions:

First , push the loud speaker  and then dial the extension has a delay (8-10 sec)  before to hear the ringtone ( it like the phone waiting for inter digit timeout.

Second condition if we dial the extension and then push the loud speaker then we don't have any delay to the dial..Its going directly

The phones are registered into CUCM via sccp

Any thoughts?

Igrusila

Hi.

This because there could be an overlapping dialplan.

Try to go on "call routing" menu and then "route plan report" and check if you see the called extension in different partitions.

Hi Carlo

This was my first check

There is no overlaping

We have 10 different locations and all the locations have their extension plan

551x

552x

553x

554x

etc

all the locations have the same behavior.

any other thought?

Hi

Through Cisco Unified Serviceability, select "tools" and "Dialed Number Analyzer" and fill all needed fields with correct info.

After that, please post a screenshot of the resulting page expanding "call flow" and "route pattern" sub result.

Thanks

When you press # at the end of digit by digit dial , do you still see the delay ?

Did you check your whole dial plan??? anything that might contain wildcards and be a match??

Or only for patterns that look like what you're dialing??

Hi Igrusila,

Can you provide the following information for a test call with this issue.

>> Calling and called party numbers

>> CSS applied on calling party and the partitions contained in that css, also provide the partition applied on called party

>> Route Plan report

As a test, can you create a new partition ( PT-TEST ) and a new CSS ( CSS-TEST ). Add PT-TEST to CSS-TEST. Now apply CSS-TEST to a DN and try calling a DN which has PT-TEST applied to it. This will rule out any overlapping dialplan issue and you can collect detailed callmanager traces for the call if the issue persists and post it on the forum.

Change the Digit Analysis Complexity CallManager Service Parameter to "TranslationAndAlternatePatternAnalysis" on all nodes then pull the CallManager traces for one of these calls.
