SIP failover

Dear All,

I got two SIP gateways (Pri & Sec) for PSTN calling and I have put them in a route group for redundancy.

Requirement:

when primary circuit run out of bandwidth I want all calls to route through secondary.

Do I need to configure anything here to achieve this task or is this a default behaviour of route group?

Thanks in advance

Regards,

Syed

You will need to define how the "out of bandwidth" is tracked, here are some options for you:

Hi Syed,

This is a default behaviour when I checked in my lab for CUCM v 10.

Check the following option below under  Service parameters:

* Stop Routing on Out of Bandwidth Flag

Ensure this is set to False.

Hitesh

Thanks Chris & Hitesh.

I am running on CUCM 8.5.1. I shall try this and come to you.

Thanks again

Well, there is a distinction between out of bandwidth in CUCM from CUBE here, if you set CAC on CUCM then the only way to re-route would be via AAR which you do not want to for this type of failover, hence my suggestion to control it on CUBE.
