SIP Gateway as a Back IP

Dear All,

I am running CUCM 8.6 PUB-SUB with two SIP Gateways 3925.

I need to configure the second SIP Gateway as a backup for example if one SIP Gateway goes down then the calls should route from the other gateway.

Can you please tell me how i can accomplish this task.

Your consideration in this regard will highly be commendable.

You can configure HSRP on both gateway:

Simply put them both in single Route Group. Also, use OPTIONS PING feature which is supported on your CUCM version and CUBE but needs to be suppored by telco as well.

How about using SIP Proxy if you expect the number of SIP gateways growing in future & redundancy among them being important requirement ?
