Hi All,

We have a single 4331 router with 4 E1's and we want to use them for 4 different projects so that if any project makes outgoing call it should display the Pilot number of the E1 dedicated to that project.

It's a SIP gateway and from CUCM we have a single trunk to gateway. and we are using 9 as a prefix for outgoing calls.

Kindly help on this.

Regards..

Sudhir kumar

hi!

you have different ways for this:

1) use technical prefixes for outgouing calls. (you can create a CSS on CUCM, one for each project. and add a prefix with the route group). Then configure different dial-peers with translation profiles on router for that prefixes.

2) use dial-peer groups. if your projects using different dial-plan, you can create a inbound dial-peers with dial-peer group assined to it.

From Cisco docs:

You can group up to 20 outbound (H.323, SIP or POTS) dial peers into a dial-peer group and configure this dial-peer group as the destination of an inbound dial peer. Once an incoming call is matched by an inbound dial peer with an active destination dial-peer group, dial peers from this group are used to route the incoming call. No other outbound dial-peer provisioning to select outbound dial peers is used.

You can use different RP/TP for different site and set different calling party transformations etc if need be. You would segregate them through CSS and Partitions.
If you are going to do this on GW, it would be a bit tricky, though can be accomplished. IOS won't be able to dynamically check which call should have what CLID assigned.
