Hello guys!
Need some guidance on the following: A client has two sites, one with a CUCM 8.5 and the other with Avaya (the difference in brands is due to managers fighting over which one was best) and they need to route internal directory numbers between the two sites. The dial plans are diffrerent so there won't be duplicates dirtectory numbers at least. Let's say, an employee on Site A wants to call an employee on Site B so they dial directory numbers respectively for each site.
I know it will be done through Route Patterns routed through a SIP trunk, but I have implemented this on Voice Gateways but not on CUCM directly. Who's is going to represent the SIP server for authentication between the two sites? Please shed some light on this. Thanks in advanced guys!

Hi,
Firstly you shoul look at the Cisco interoperability site
Here is the link to the site :-
This specific link is to a Nortel/Avaya CS1000 using SIP, but we are not sure what flavour of Avaya you are involed with :-
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/solutions/collateral/ns340/ns414/ns728/ns784/989942.pdf
Have a look throughthe interoperability site you should find something similar to your set up.
Regards,
Alex.
