SIP trunk, CUBE and CUCM 7.1.2

Hi Cisco Techs,

Please let me know if posted in wrong forum

ISP supplied router has necessary details under VOIP and SIP tabs to connect to them for VOIP calls.

Do I need to configure CUBE as part of CUCM 7.1.2 to connect calls then?

Thanks again..

try this:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/11_5_1/sysConfig/CUCM_BK_SE5DAF88_00_cucm-system-configuration-guide-1151/CUCM_BK_SE5DAF88_00_cucm-system-configuration-guide-1151_chapter_01110.html

lots of info, but does contain all you need. dont worry about TLS for the moment. make it as simple as possible.

John,

you dont necissarily need a cube. if your ISP provide router supports SIP, you should be able to point your cucm trunk to that. there is no requirement from cisco that a cucm sip trunk needs to point to a CUBE, it could also point to a non-cisco product.  I hope that answers your question

Thanks Dennis for the quick response. Is there a link some guiding how to point trunk to ISP router device  please?
