Does anyone know a good software to install in a laptop and make mostly SIP or H323 test calls for testing purposes?
I often happen to install SX as standalone and I want to test them as SIP incoming or outgoing calls from and to my laptop.
I know that the preferred method as standalone is H323 but some clients want SIP.

Actually I am looking for a SIP Desktop Softphone that someone has tried and can make free video calls for testing purposes. Something like CICP or Jabber but not to be obligated to have a CUCM etc etc.

Linphone and Zoiper are very good SIP clients. Though, you have to register them somewhere. If not CUCM then you have register them to some ITSP. There is a bunch of them out there. I have successfully used onSIP in the past, where you can also register for free. I had not tried video though.
