Below is what TAC found on the speed dial pause "the comma's" not working - I am on Call Manager 10.5.2 & H323 C2951 voice gateway using a PRI T1
SHORT VERSION ---> So pause speed dial will work in a “post-connect” method, but since the Telco never actually sends us a CONNECT message, therefore Call Manager never detects it.
So I kept digging and found out what the cause of our issue is.
Here’s a snippet of the ISDN messages in our debugs:
Line 390: 014146: Jan 25 15:36:14.979: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: TX -> SETUP pd = 8 callref = 0x0A2D
Line 521: 014156: Jan 25 15:36:15.083: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: RX <- CALL_PROC pd = 8 callref = 0x8A2D
Line 526: 014158: Jan 25 15:36:16.235: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: RX <- PROGRESS pd = 8 callref = 0x8A2D
Line 1607: 014448: Jan 25 15:36:28.755: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: TX -> DISCONNECT pd = 8 callref = 0x0A2D
Line 1609: 014449: Jan 25 15:36:28.847: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: RX <- RELEASE pd = 8 callref = 0x8A2D
It seems the carrier will never send us a CONNECT message until the authorization code is placed.
This leads us to the working as design behavior found in the following link:
