Hi All
We have a setup where we divert incoming numbers back out of our ISDN to an external switchboard.
Users are complaining saying it is taking too long for the number to ring the other side.
Is there any way of speeding this forwarding process up?
Currently it is a translation pattern, it has the urgent priority box set.
cheers

Can you please provide bit more information regarding your setup(gateway type, call control platform.. etc) and call flow.

Hi, it is cucm version 11.5
Call comes in via H323 Cisco Gateway, this is then sent to CUCM, CUCM then has translation pattern to send back to same H323 Gateway and then Gateway sends out to PSTN dial peer
cheers

Whats pattern you use for Rp and Dial-peers, is it "T". try reducing interdict timeout and see if it makes any difference.
How to modify, have a look on below blog.

Have you checked that the delay is actually within your system? Have a look at the gateway debugs for a diverting call ("debug isdn g931") and look at the time between incoming Setup for the original call, and outgoing Setup for the diverted call.
