Hello,

What do I need to check/do to make sure SRST is ready to come up when CUCM or link to it falls down?

Thanks in advance,

Hi

No. This is the ip address through which the SRST router will communicate with the IP phone in SRST. This will be any ip address on the SRST router which is has interface which will be up like loopback.  Also this is the ip address which you have to give when you configure SRST in Cisco CUCM.

HI

You can configure your SRST proerly by using below link

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cusrst/admin/sccp_sip_srst/configuration/guide/srst_setting_up_using_sccp.html

After configuration you can check the srst configuration validity by doing either following

1) Stop CCM service in CUCM for some time to see if SRST works.

2) Above is not possible in production environment so you can have as ACL configured in branch router which will block all the traffic to CUCM. This will make phone go in SRST mode.

Hi Ronak,

By reading the SRST configuration guide I came accross with the following:

Step 2

ip source-address ip-address [port port]  [any-match | strict-match]

Example:

Router(config-cm-fallback)# ip source-address  10.6.21.4 port 2002 strict-match

Enables the router to receive messages from the Cisco IP phones through  the specified IP addresses and provides for strict IP address  verification. The default port number is 2000.

What does the IP SOURCE-ADDRESS mean? Is it CUCM ip address?

Thx,

Omni
