Is it possible to not send a caller's phone number on selected outgoing calls? With our legacy Central Office based system the standard *67+ the called number can be used. *67 is not recognized by our CUCM. To listen or transfer directly to a voicemail box we use *6XXXX (we have 5 digit extensions). The Route Plan Report has *XXXX defined as DirecttoVM in the Route Detail, which explains why *67+ internal or external number is not valid. If there is a defined digit string defined to suppress outgoing caller ID, what would it be defined as and would it be part of the Route Plan Report?

There is no predefined pattern for this or anything else in CM. You’d have to create any configuration that you need. To achieve what you ask about you can either use route pattern or translation pattern function in CM and set the calling number as restricted.

Yes that’s possible. You’d need to run the call via a translation pattern and set the calling number presentation to restricted.

Ok - I did see the translation pattern option. I haven't yet received a request for this. Hopefully if a customer wants this it will be for all calls, which I see can be done with ### entered in 'Line 1 on Device SEPxxx... - External Phone Number Mask'. Is there a way to show the number as Unknown for internal calls? I tried various settings in 'Enterprise Alternate Number - Number Mask', but the actual DN always displayed to the called party.
Thanks
