Hi All,
All my cisco 8941 ip phones are not syncing with NTP server which is my gateway cisco 2811.
i checked on cucm cli its working fine but the phone time is not getting updated, but when i restart the phone the time will be updated and againg stuck at the time until next restart.
IP phones 8941 are configured to use SIP protocol.
and we have 6921 phones which uses SCCp and are working fine.
i configured my gateway cisco 2811 as NTP refrence and using direct broad cast, but no use.
i tried to use a public NTP server but it is also not working.
can any one help me please...

Upgrade your firmware to latest available one, these phones very buggy in early firmware releases.

Hi Asif,
Can u try upgrading the phone firmware to 9.3(4) for one of the 8941 IP phones and check ?
I can find bug for 8945 IP phone which is somewhat similar to your issue.
8945 SIP: NTP can't sync and refresh srv time until 1/2 hour later.

Hi Aman, Omarpal,
Thanks for the reply,
the firmware is SIP894X.9-2-1-00
There is no firewall between gw , call manager , IP phones.
IP Phones---->Call Manager----->GW.

So you have NTP reference defined in CUCM and assigned to the date/time group? Sip phones do not pull time from CUCM like SCCP phones.

Hi Chris,
yes, as you can see my first post, NTP refernce is defined and assigned to CUCM for sip phones, but the phones are not updating its time.
