Timeout error

Hi,

I have a desk phone that is causing some issues. It is making the loud open line tone through the external speaker randomly with a timeout error.

I have looked over the handset and there doesn't seem to be an issue. This phone was replaced a few months ago with the same issue. The phone still takes inbound/outbound calls.

Anyone know what could be causing this?

My assumption is  its a hardware fault.

Hi,

First step is to install the latest phone firmware release. Try also to factory reset it and observe the behavior with the handset if it always works.

If the issue persists after updating to the latest firmware, it is likely a hardware problem that requires RMA to obtain a replacement device.
