Is there any reason why you would want to trunk a 7936? If on the switch side, you are using the access vlan and voice vlan. Does trunking cause any issues?

Hi Sar,
Paolo is correct here (as usual Paolo)! I have found that the 7935 and 7936 will not fire up if you configure the switchport in Trunk mode :(
Hope this helps!

Hello,
I do not see any reason to trunk a 7936, or any other model. As you indicated, the access+voice vlan is the proper way to configure the switch port.
Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!
