Hi - i know the resource allocation (disk, memory, CPU) is prescribed and is fixed by the associated CUCM OVA template and we should never amend these, but are we also prohibited from changing the assigned / default VM networking? I was planning on assigning a new vswitch for UC traffic and a separate vswitch for ESXi traffic but cannot find any info directly related to this on the UC wiki. I also noticed that the assigned CUCM template for the 10k user OVA specifies a single vnic , however, I was hoping to use the vnic fault tolerance and lacp on the physical switch for redundancy.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Configuring Networking within VMWare is to your discretion as Cisco does not dictate it, in fact I've seen many different ways partners/customers have been implementing these.
