Hi,
is it possible to interconnect a UC540 with a CUCM?
I think that it is not possible because I did not find anything in the configuration guide on cisco.com, but I would like to hear it from you guys, too.

I would say that this is possible. Just add the UC540 box as an H323 gateway in cucm, or you can do intercluster trunk as well. All you would need to do is make a voip dialpeer to send calls to cucm extensions to the cucm. And in CUCM, make a route pattern for calls to UC540 extensions and point to the H323 gateway or intercluster trunk.

Hi,
Yes, it is possible. Remember that UC500 systems use Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express for call processing.
Here is documentation on how to integrate both systems:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/srnd/7x/callpros.html#wp1044453
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/srnd/design/guide/intcmecm.html
Hope it helps, please remember to rate if it does.
Kind regards,
- Adrian.

This is great.
I know that CME and be connected with a CUCM, but I was not sure if the UC500 is using the same CME. I am not a Voice guy .
Both posts are helpful and I will rate it.
Thanks.
