Hello everyone,
I hope everything is well with you guys.
I'm in a company using the CUCM 8.6 for the IP Phones architecture.
We would like to know how can we have voicemail on the IP phones (like for the CISCO 7942).
The license used is the UCL, and i think there is a specific license for the voicemail.
So, I would like to know which extension should i have to buy (the reference of the extension) in order to have the voicemail ?
Specifically, I need the reference of the extension, the price of the extension, and the cost of a 5-year maintenance if possible.
Thanks you for your attention.
Cheers,

Hi Karim,
for voicemail you need Unity connection or unity express. it depends on the number of users.
for the price and maintenance, it is prefered to contact one of local partners at your country

Thank you Anas and Amanso for your help.
We have a Unity connection 8.6 in our company. The number of users is about 5000 IP phones.
The CUC has right now 2400 voicemail licenses, and the licenses that has been bought are :
UCXN-ADV-USR (Unity Connection 8.x Advanced User License) -----> 300
CUCM8-BE-USR (CMBE 8.0 User Licenses) -----> 1800
UCXN-BE-USR (Unity Connection 8.x User for CUCM BE) -----> 300
I don't know what is the difference between these 3 licenses ?
If we would like to buy licenses for deploying the 2600 last users with voicemails, which of the 3 licenses above should we buy ?
Do you have an idea about the prices and the maintenance, because the local partner of Cisco isn't able respond ... ?
Thanks a lot for your help !!

Hi Karim,
I won't be able to comment much but part codes UCXN-BE-USR/UCXN-ADV-USR is for Business Edition for Voice mail Users with advanced features and CUCM8-BE-USR is for IP Phone users.
For Prices of maintenance and products/licenses, u can speak to Cisco Account Manager.
Also, before purchasing check whether the PArt Codes are available or have been replaced by different ones.
Which BE u are using? I was just checking for BE 6000 and found numbers of users in your case are more:
Maximum number of users: 1000 users and 1200 devices
Maximum number of mailboxes and voicemail ports: 1000 mailboxes and 24 voicemail ports per server

Thank you for you help Amanso !
It is weird because I see that there is 2400 voicemail licenses in the CUC.
I don't know which BE we have, I only know that the version is 8.6
But I have these informations :
Here are a snapshot of the CUC licenses and another snapshot on the licenses buyed.
Are the 2400 licenses in the CUC representing the 300+300+1800 licenses buyed?
The CUCM8-BE-USR includes the voicemail?
What voicemail license should we buy to add 2600 IPPhones? And how many?
The licenses will be combinet with the UCL enhanced?
Thanks you again, and I hope that it will be interesting to the other people in the same situation.

Hi Karim,
Since u have got MCS 7828I4-K9-BE8 server which comes preloaded with OS and call manager application.
7828 supports BE 5000.
You can refer datasheet of BE 5000
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6788/vcallcon/ps7273/data_sheet_c78-636588.pdf
Maximum number of users | # 500 |
# Maximum number of mailboxes and voicemail ports | # 500 mailboxes and 24 voicemail ports |

Hi Karim,
I am not sure if you really have Business Edition installed when you say you have 5000 IP phones. Is the 2nd image what you actually ordered earlier or a random BOM which you are using as reference to order more voicemail licenses?
CUCM Business Edition (no. of users are restricted) ---- CUCM and Unity connection in one box ---- UNIFIED-CMBE5K is the part code to order licenses for that
Standard CUCM and Unity Connection ---- no. of users depend on the server model --- R-UCL-UCM-LIC-K9 is the part code to order the regular cucm and UNITYCN9-K9 is the part code for Unity connection (Regular one).
Both are two different products and one is not be confused with another speciallly from the licensing poitn of view.
As Aman rightly said the Latest BE6K does not scale beyond 1000 users and 1000 mailboxes.
Please share your server model for both Unity connection and CUCM.
ssh in to servers and run "show hardware" command to know the hardware model.
Also share what exactly was ordered by you guys and what you looking to order?
