Hello, i have proposed CUCM 8.5 to a customer having 200 users.

they will purchase 200 CUWL STD license.

Is UCSS required for these 200 STD users, or an optional thing?

if the customer will purchase UCSS what will be the benefit?

Hi,

It's optional but u must buy it at the start or before 90 days of the software purchase. After that time span, you or any other partner are no longer elligible to buy UCSS for that client.

UCSS basically allows the client to receive free major upgrades for the software they have. Each software has it's own UCSS and there are different options ranging from 1 year to 5 year. Once it expires, the client gets 30 days to buy it again otherwise it is no longer elligible for that client.
